Description:This employee is responsible for the daily supervision of a group of field crews and the daily scheduling and coordination of field survey work. Duties:Responsible for the daily supervision of a group of field crews and the daily scheduling and coordination of field survey work. Receives broad assignments and verbal instructions from Survey Practice Leader, usually with little or no daily supervision. Responsibilities include fielding client requests for work, the scheduling of field work and crew assignments, the repair and maintenance of survey vehicles and equipment, and preparing fieldwork budgets. Position requires frequent and ongoing contact with clients, contractors, and office professional staff. Strives to make each project profitable. Prospects new clients and opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell Triad services.
Qualifications:The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on busy streets or construction sites, involves extensive standing and walking and includes clearing brush, working in difficult terrain, manholes and on difficult slopes.
• Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable. Relevant experience and training may be substituted for a college degree.
• Experience – 4 years of progressively more responsible work experience on a survey crew, including two years as a Crew Chief. Registration as Professional Land Surveyor is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, ability to read, write, and perform basic math, must be comfortable communicating with the public, must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
