Description:This position describes engineering personnel who have some experience in engineering problem solving and design and understands the basics of project profitability and business development. To apply, please visit Triad is an EOE.
Duties:Under regular supervision and review, and using prescribed methods, assists more senior personnel by performing routine engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment, reinforcing their level of familiarity with the operating procedures of the company. Occasional limited exercise of independent judgment is required, but reports decisions and actions to more senior personnel at first opportunity. May be responsible for supervision of non-professional field staff on a specific project. Applies standard techniques and procedures learned through tenure as junior-level staff member, or through experience with other companies, in carrying out routine engineering tasks. Reports information obtained and observations made to more senior personnel for interpretation. Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to CADD staff for incorporation into drawings. Prepares draft correspondence, technical specifications and reports for review by more senior staff. May occasionally be called upon by more senior personnel to attend meetings with clients or government agencies. May be called upon by more senior personnel to assist with proposal preparation or business development activities. Prospects new clients and participates in collections. Strives to make each project profitable.
Qualifications:The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Experience – Two years of applicable experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills, must be comfortable communicating with the public, must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
