|Duties:||Coordinates and leads the efforts of Project Managers in their relations with clients and technical staff by utilizing business and management skills. Responsible for prioritizing and scheduling the practice workload to ensure high quality deliverables in a timely and efficient manner, with an emphasis on accuracy and client satisfaction. Responsible for successful utilization of the talents, skills, and abilities of personnel. Assists Regional Manager in planning, staffing, management, and public relations activities. Serves as a technical leader by providing advice, counsel, risk management, and peer review to ensure the technical appropriateness and accuracy of field work, subcontractor work, and all documents and reports. Maintains technical proficiency of the practice by monitoring the technical skills of practice personnel. Develops and implements training/educational programs to keep the practice at the “leading edge” of technology and design as it relates to the work being undertaken. Participates as an active member of a project team when required. Monitors performance of PMs and takes corrective action where required. In consultation with the client, Project Manager, and Regional Manager(s), participates in establishing the basic design criteria for projects when appropriate. Provides critical or expert technical advice as required or deemed necessary. Monitors staffing requirements to anticipate the need for additional personnel or curtailing staff. Implements contracting and subcontracting procedures that minimize Company liability exposure and ensures fair and equitable fee arrangements. Prepares, reviews and updates budgets, billing projections, business development goals, and other corporate budgeting efforts.|
|Qualifications:||The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.|
Education - Bachelor's degree in appropriate field. Advanced degree is desirable. Relevant and extensive experience may be substituted for a degree.
Experience - Ten years of relevant progressive experience.
Certifications - Valid state registrations/certifications as appropriate to the field.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills, must be comfortable communicating with the public, must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
