|Description:||This position describes engineering personnel who have gained sufficient knowledge, experience, and judgment to independently plan, design, and implement multiple non-routine and complex projects. Responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas. Client development and retention is a major responsibility. Triad is an EOE. |Duties:||Leads and directs technical projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriateness. Has responsibility to commit company resources. Works closely with other disciplines on multi discipline projects. Ensures consistent, professional written communication with clients and other outside contacts. Manages/solves technically complex problems. Uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices. Plans, coordinates and directs larger and more important engineering projects or projects with many complex features. May manage all projects for a single client. Responsible for productivity of subordinates, and schedule and budget of projects. Administers contracts. Serves as technical specialist and staff advisor. Carries out complex, novel, or unique assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures. On going supervision of engineering and support personnel. Responsible for initiating and leading client/business development. Recognizes, initiates, and advances business development opportunities. Directs proposal preparation and business development activities. Develops staff and project engineers. May act as replacement for absent management personnel. Prospects new clients and participates in collections. Strives to make each project profitable.|
|Qualifications:||The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.|
Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Advanced degree is desirable.
Experience - Eight years of relevant progressive experience.
Certifications - Valid state Professional Engineer's license.
Must possess a valid driverís license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills, must be comfortable communicating with the public, must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
