We are currently seeking qualified candidates for possible upcoming work in the surrounding region of Athens, OH.

Triad Engineering, Inc. is a mid-Atlantic multi-disciplinary engineering firm seeking a materials testing Engineering Technician. This employee observes and monitors the construction process as it relates to project plans and specifications. This person must also perform field material testing services. Applicants must be able to work independently on projects, stand for long periods of time, work in all kinds of weather, lift 30 pounds (frequently) and 100 pounds (occasionally). Experience in construction testing and monitoring is preferred, but not required. DOT and/or ACI certifications are a big plus. A high school diploma is required. Duties:This position continues to develop from entry-level by performing routine quality control test procedures including concrete testing and nuclear moisture/density testing under limited supervision. Duties may include more direct client contact, including arranging job progress meetings or scheduling additional material testing.

This position also performs the following:
Maintains daily job log and is familiar with applicable plans and specifications. Notifies supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications. May occasionally make limited recommendations in the field. Has frequent exposure to clients, however, does not interpret specifications or direct work. May have limited responsibility for training or direction of entry-level technicians. Follows all safety procedures. Maintains a driving record free of specific violations. May also perform field work within other company disciplines. Strives to make each project profitable.
Qualifications:Ability to frequently lift 30 60 pounds from the floor to 2 feet. Occasionally lift 60 100 pounds from the floor to 2 feet. Ability to frequently carry 30 60 pounds for 10 30 feet. Occasionally carry 60 100 pounds for 10 30 feet. Ability to stand/walk with frequent stooping and bending for up to 8 hours.

Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Construction-related training or technical training desirable.

Experience Experience in performing routine quality control test procedures including concrete testing and nuclear moisture/density testing under limited supervision. DOT and/or ACI certifications are required.
